Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree/diploma program in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Framer Studio, etc.)
- Design portfolio that showcases design for web and/or mobile platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in design in interaction and/or graphic design and/or motion design
- Ability to apply brand visual assets in a user interface context and understanding of user-centered design principles
- Familiarity with front-end engineering and/or working with engineers
- Excellent analytical, creative, and visual thinker, combined with outstanding verbal/visual communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Understand typography, color, grid, and composition and learn best practices for pixel-perfect production considerations and methods.
- Gauge the usability of products and make constructive suggestions for change.
- Demonstrate the capability to develop and communicate underlying concepts that inspire design implementation.
- Help define the user model and user interface for Google products and features.
- Learn to develop high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes, and effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
